Covington West Park
Sugar Land’s Covington West Park is a small, half-acre park ideal for an afternoon picnic. It is located at the intersection of Mason Road, Oakwood Lane, and Greenway Drive, directly under the water tower.
Covington West Park features a basketball court for friendly neighborhood games. Covered picnic tables and picnic pavilions give families a place to gather around a bucket of chicken and enjoy the fresh air. For those wanting to cook their own picnic feast, the park offers grills suitable for cooking burgers and hotdogs.
A children’s playground area has fenced-in facilities for younger children, with a small slide and climbing features. Parents can watch their children from shaded benches surrounding the play area. For sporting facilities, the park offers a basketball goal with a half-court.
The park was recently closed for water tower construction but is now open to the public from dawn until dusk.
